About us

Janet Ashford learned to play the violin at the age of nine and has been playing ever since, starting with classical and moving on to folk music. In San Diego she played Celtic and Appalachian music for contra dances, weddings and parties with Lime in the Harp and also played the traditional music of Old California at many history events with Los Californios. Since moving to the Mendocino coast in 1999 she has played with various duos and groups including Don't Tell Sally, The Northern Troup and The Fort Bragg Philharmonic. Janet is also a photographer, graphic designer and the author of two books on childbirth and seven on computer graphics. Her web page is at www.jashford.com

Chet Boddy plays guitar, banjo, mandolin and piano. He has a wide variety of musical and other interests and claims to have never experienced a moment of boredom in his life. He was a long-time member of the bluegrass group Don't Tell Sally, likes to sing and play blues guitar, and currently plays celtic music with Camenae and sings doo-wop and other a cappella harmonies with The Chanterelles. He has had a varied career as a writer, urban planner, nursery grower and botanical gardens director. Chet has been in the real estate appraisal and consulting business since 1992.
