Calliope Creek is a violin and guitar duo playing traditional Celtic and Appalachian old-time folk music for weddings, parties, art openings and other events in Mendocino County and surrounding areas.

We specialize in sweet and lively jigs, reels, slip jigs, hornpipes, waltzes and airs, providing just the right atmosphere of energetic but elegant music for your event.

We are comfortable playing for both formal and more casual events, indoors and outdoors, and can also arrange for a "caller" to teach easy steps to your guests, for those of you who'd like to include a memorable New England contra dance as part of your event.
